Well what would you know i am now listening to another livestreem of a podcast this one is the Shaft podcast.  but anyway this week i did nothing really played starcraft, watched Rio nothing much.  But I head back to school tomorrow and well thats it thanks for visiting the blog i will ge something up soon! Well its my first update and well i'll post as often as i can (or want) but right now at 11:40 i am listening to the inside the magic D23 wrap up podcast.  but sense my last post my friend and I have started our own movie review youtube channel called T slash M Productions we have published our first review which was Rio  (i know i have became a fanboy) and i have neglected to edit our second review of the new planet of the apes review i will get to it soon.  other than that i will post something along the lines of a review eventually.

My top ten favorite video games

So today i will be doing my top 10 favorie video games. So let's get started. #10) Lego Star wars episodes 1-3 about 5 years ago I got a gamecube and then Lego star wars 1-3 this was what made me a gamer. #9) Super Smash brothers brawl. An instant classic it is one of the few good games that I own for the Wii. #8). Star wars battlefront 2. This also was a big step into becoming the gamer i am today. #7). Roller Tycoons 2-3. As a kid inwould play these games for hours on end and I still do. #6). Kingdom hearts 2. When I went over my heights house to play it I became addicted to it right now I think I have about 56 hours logged on. #5). Portal 1. I thought that this great was amazing not only because I got it for free from Steam but it also had the best line ever "the cake is a lie". And i still use that line to this day. #4).StarCraft 2 I have just got this game but Blizzard did a great job with keeping me up to speed on what happened in the earlier games and had a very nice campain  #3.) Halo Reach,  I loved Halo for years and well, its halo so I like it.  #2.) Angry Birds Rio.  I like angry birds and i like Rio so it's a perfect combo for a game.  #1.) Minecraft.  I have only played a couple of hours of this game (I don't own it) (along with Reach) but it is the ultimate in creative games

Scott Pilgrim VS the world Movie Review

The movie Scott Pilgrim vs the world was originally a graphic novel.  This movie sums up the 6 part comic book series into a good film.  The stuff i liked about it was that it was a nerds movie with references to many video classic games and having the fight scenes look like they are straight out of both video games and comics.  The fact that the movie has the feel of a watchable comic book.  The things that i didn't like about it was how slow it got for about 1/3 of the movie to the point where i wanted to fast forward through it.  Overall i would give this movie a 8/10 for having all of the video game/comic references but it looses points for getting slow in the middle.

The Social Network movie review

Nothing is more threatening than telling your ex girlfriend that you will blog wicked bad about her right?  well in this courtroom drama depicting the lawsuits that Mark Zuckerburg went through in 2006 (I think).  This movie does a great job telling the story of all of the major events in Facebook history.  I thought that the movie never really got boring at all it held my interest for the entire 2 hours.  I thought that the director David Fincher paid all of the respects deserved in a very un biased way.  But even i know that Sean Parker is important to the development of Facebook but i wanted to see more of Zuckerburg than Sean.  I didnt rally like the way that Justin Timberlake played Parker.   I give this movie a 9/10 only loosing a point for the presentation of Sean Parkers' character.

New project

Well here in my "office" if you would call it that me and my friends have been hard at work on a project that will help launch blockhead studios!  This project is called The class and as you can tell by the title it will take the idea of the office (a documentary crew in a computer programing class) and put it into a classroom setting.  Now this is still in pre-production and will take some time.  Let me tell you the script is the relatively easy part but casting and the actual filming of this project will take time.  so stay tuned for more on the developments of this project.  And now here is a picture of Blu that I drew.  Enjoy!

The Other Guys Movie review

Sorry for not posting on Friday I just got very busy.  So anyway lets get on to the review.  The other guys is a good comedy about how two detectives try to uncover a multi billion dollar scheme.  But they run into many situations they did not bargain for in the beginning.  I thought the movie was very funny and somewhat original.  But it lost points for getting boring in the middle.  My final words on the movie is that it is a 8.5 out of 10 for being funny and original.  that wraps up my week long movie reviews.  Check back daily for more content!

Tron Legacy review

In my first post i said I liked Disney well this is my first review of a Disney related movie so lets get on with it.  Tron Legacy is the squeal to the highly popular movie Tron.  taking place 20 years after the first film staring Flynn's son Sam.  After reviving a page form his dads old office at the arcade where Sam is taken into the Grid which has drastically changed over the years.  I thought the movie was interesting enough to keep you interested long enough but the movie suffered because of the young Flynn old Flynn thing going on.  My final word on this movie is that it is a 8/10 for amazing FXs, and a great plot twist but it got somewhat confusing.  Tomorrow wraps up my week long movie reviews and i will try to post daily.  see you tomorrow

Alien Review (1976)

This is my first sci-fi horror film s lets do this.  The movie is a great movie from its plot to the special effects, the Alien puppet alone took 3 people to operate.  This movie combines the sci-fi and horror genres together almost seamlessly.  But it didn't go without it's flaws I mean all of the crew members know that the alien will not attack them if they are in a group it always cornered them and then killed them.  So if they had just stayed together and just followed the protocol only one person would have died.  So to wrap things up I would give this movie a 7.5/10 for an interesting plot twist but the horror parts seemed to cliche.

Inception movie review

Now many people said inception was confusing, well I didn't think it was confusing but, anyway let's get on to the review. Now inception is a movie about going into a persons mind and "extracting" idea from their minds. I thought that even though the movie was long it kept you interested for the entire movie.  But, the only problem i had about the movie was Cobb's dead wife kept on popping in and that really just annoyed me.  overall i would give this movie a 9/10 for originality but it lost points for being confusing and because the ending was just was like being teased.

Back to the future part 1 review

So today I am doing a Back To the Future movie review so here we go. This film was made in the 1980s and it is still great today. With a good plot that I thought was original and good special affects. But there are some flaws with the movie first of all Spoiler alert Marty cuasing his mom and dad to not fall in love and then Marty working sooo hard to fix things. But that was the only problem that I had I would of liked more diologue between doc and Marty but you could just watch part 3. My final words are that I give it a 9/10 for an original plot but gets annoying in the middle of the movie but over all it is a great movie and i recommend you go see it now.

Star Trek (2009) review

Being a somewhat of a star trek fan i have decided to do this as day 3 out of my week long movie review week.  This movies is a prequel to the original series.  I thought that this movie was very good one reason because of the CGI in it and well it left on a note that can be picked up for a sequel and maybe even a T.V series but anyway.  The story though I thought it was kinda confusing and did not make sense.  First of I get the time flux caused by the black hole but if you were to travel through one you would die.  also releasing the fusion cores the escape the black hole kirk is starting to remind me of master chief he can live through everything.  But anyways I would give a movie a 8/10 for its originality and having it open up a whole new series for star trek fans to enjoy.  but it lost points for breaking the laws of physics and being confusing.  That is all, have a nice day.

lightning thief movie review

now i apologize in advance if this turns into a rant about how I thought ow much the movie stunk.  here we go if you read the book you know the story but here is a summery of the movie boy named percy finds out that he is a demigod then goes to camp for demigods with he friend grover who is 1/2 human 1/2 goat.  percy meets luke befriends him and annabeth. zeus masterbolt is stolen and percy, grover, and annabeth go on a quest to find it or else percy dies.  they find the masterbolt and return it and live.  obviously because there is a sequel.  but anyway the movie it was biased on the book empathize on the word baised on the book.  my final words are that if you must go see the movie you should i would give it a 5 out of 10 becuase it is my favorite book.

RIo movie review

now Rio has been out for quite some time now but I just gat around to see it and I have to say it is a great movie.  The animations are excellent and I also related to the main character Blu but that is another post.  Now about the plot itself i thought that it was good about a bird who is taken out of his comfort zone and thrown into a strange new environment in this case it is the city of Rio during Carnival.  the reason that Blu is going to Rio is because that he is the last Male of his species and you guessed it there is only one female left who is Jewel.  O yea did i forget to mention that his owner named Linda has had him for 15 years and they have a very strong emotional bond.  so anyway blu gets to the conservation place where he first meets Jewel who is desperate to escape back into the wild.  when Linda and  Túlio  (the scientist in charge) leave a boy breaks into the environment and steals the birds.  have i mentioned yet that blu cant fly? no well yea he cant fly.  the boy brings them to a bird smugglers hideout where we are introduced to Nigel a once famous show bird now turned bitter and enjoys tormenting other captured birds.  when we learn of the smugglers intentions jewel trys to escape but blu being a nerd uses the numinous physics he has read in books to try to escape.  but jewels ways works and thats when she fins out that blu cannot fly and naturally jewel is mad.and then the rest of the movie is a basic at the begining of the movie the main character cant do something but then meets a girl and then they fight make uo and then fight again and then when they are in a dire situation the main character can all of a sudden they can do that thing that they couldn't do at beginning of the movie.  and then the jewel kisses blu and then magically blu can fly and then they live happily ever after  My final verdict is 9.5 out of 10 just because of how many times i have seen this plot but otherwise it is a great movie and i recommend that you go out and see it soon.
